I suck at blogging.

My sister tells me that now that I have a kid I have to update my blog more than twice a year. So I guess since she is my older sister I have to listen and attempt to be better at this blogging thing.

My baby has grown up so much already!! Is it possible for me to not want her to grow up and want her to grow up at the same time? I think it is because that is how I feel. I am so excited for her to grow up and be able to talk to her and show her things and watch her learn and discover things but at the same time I know it is going to go by super fast. And I'm sure I will miss each stage of her life as it ends. Maybe that is why those crazy people with like 20 kids won't stop having them... so that they literally have a kid in every single stage of life possible for as long as possible. (On a side note, does anyone watch Parks & Recreation? Every time I say or hear the word 'literally' I say it in my head like the guy Rob Lowe plays in that show. And if no one has seen that show then disregard this random thought.)

Here are a few things we have learned about our little stinker:
-She is a diaper blowout queen! She had a blowout at Dave's parents house last weekend where we just had to cut her onesie off. There was no way we could possibly get it over her head without covering her head in poo. She has blowouts on a regular basis and I'm fairly certain that it would not matter what diapers we put her in, they could not contain the poo storms she brews up. (But I am open to suggestions if you know of some magical diapers! We use Pampers currently.)
-She LOVES to cuddle! And we LOVE to cuddle with her!
-She has the longest yawns ever.
-I got her first real smile when she was about a month old and she is smiling more and more.
-She loves the bath! She is not a huge fan of the getting out of the bath and getting lotioned up part.
-I think every sound she makes is the cutest thing ever... even her cry.
-She likes to go on walks... in the stroller or in a pack.
-She is not a fan of tummy time.
-For some reason, she really likes being on the changing table. Almost every time I put her down on it to change her she will look at me and just start smiling.

I uploaded some pictures from the last few weeks of Haddie. It is crazy to me that it has been almost two months! And I only have one month left before I go back to work. :( Boo on that. I hate leaving her to even go to the store! I am going to die when I have to go to work for 12 hours! :(

I can't believe how big she looks now compared to this picture!

Cuddle-bug!

My love!!

Just chillaxin' in the tub... :)

I think this picture is hilarious! Dave was the one with the camera and her facial expression to me is saying... "Daaadd! I'm taking a bath! Get outta here!!"

Easter outfit...

Going for a walk...

First night in the crib...

She had been sleeping in a bassinet in our room. Don't mind the giant stroller taking up half the room. Wedon't exactly have a surplus of space to put thingsin this house.

Adorable monkey hat that my friend from work made for her!

Getting ready to go on a walk...

Happy girl... post-walk...

LOVE LOVE LOVE her smile!!!!

That's it for now but I promise to TRY to do better! :)

That is an impressive post!
I know EXACTLY what you're talking about with the Parks N Rec thing :0)

So...I knew you'd have a cute baby - but what facial expressions! She is adorable. No really.

I love to read what you write about...it always makes me smile. I guess I'm pretty much stuck in junior high mode - cause the whole poo blaster, cutting the onesie off made me laugh out loud.

Glad you're enjoying her and taking things in stride. I'll look forward to updates...the new blog design is nice by the by...

It is hard to stay caught up. My blogging waves come and go. She is SO beautiful. I also thought the diaper blowouts were hilarious. :)

Dang, she is CUTE!! I love her facial expressions. Good to hear that someone else's kid has major blowouts all the time. When Lakai was tiny he had blowouts constantly and none of my friends had any advice for me. The only advice I have for you is to try a bigger sized diaper. That was the only thing that even remotely helped. I think breast-fed babies (you are breastfeeding, right?) are just prone to blowouts! :) Anyway, Haddie is adorable and I love hearing how things are going!
