So... ya know that thing I said...

... about being better at blogging.

I lied.

Not on purpose BUT I was a big fat liar when I said I would try to blog more often. I think you probably all already know that since I pretty much say it every time I do get around to blogging. :) The thing is that I already am probably too attached to electronic devices. (Yes, I'm talking to you Facebook.) And blogging seems to be just one more thing to do sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE updating my friends on how I am doing and getting comments and I know how much I really really enjoy reading all of your blogs and seeing your families grow! LOVE IT! BUT... for example, right now I am updating our blog and my husband and baby are in bed. I really should be snuggled up next to Dave right now. But I'm not. Please tell me you understand what I'm trying to say. I have a internal war going on when it comes to blogging. Actually spend time with my family... or type about spending time with my family.... hmm. And I do realize that it is a good way to journal (which I also have always sucked at). I guess that what I am getting at is that henceforth I am probably going to suck at blogging and I am going to stop apologizing for it every time I do post. I just hate to be so bad at blogging because I know how much I love reading all of your updates and I know how I feel a tiny, tiny twinge of annoyance when you all go a week without updating. :)

So, I am not really going to try to tell you every little thing that happened over the last 6 months since I last posted. Here is a summary. Dave and I ran in a half marathon in San Francisco and Lindsey, Hope, Hailey and my mom and dad came with us! It was a blast! Haddie experienced a LOT of firsts on that trip... plane ride, bus ride, BART ride, trolley ride, baseball game, hotel stay. It was not my best time for a half ever but it was my first post-baby one and at least I finished. And I will just say that I hurt in places I have never hurt before. :) We went camping to Alturas and it was as beautiful as ever. We bought a new home and we LOVE it! My Padre turned 60! This is a huge milestone for the Alley men since my Grandpa and Great Grandpa died at 53 and 52 from heart attacks. My Dad is amazing and still going strong! :) Haddie is still the light of our lives and she is now mobile. I don't really know what else to add but I will give you some pictures because what blog post is worth anything without pictures??

 San Francisco...

If you are wondering why she has no pants on in this picture, it is because this was taken after diaper blow-out number one of two that afternoon. She got two new onesies out of it. I think that was her plan. Let's hope she will just ask for a souvenir when she gets older. :P

My Dad being his random self with some sea kelp...

Alturas...

A few pics of our new digs...

My little skeleton...

Teaching her early... :)

 60th B-day bash...

Crawling all over the place...

AND already pulling herself up to chairs...

Halloween!!
No, we are not holding her down to put paint on her nose... :)

 Hiking by our house...

Loving life right now!! And I hope you enjoy the 52 pictures I uploaded because it took for-FREAKING-EVER!!! :) Love you all!!

I DO know exactly what you mean about being behind and trying to make decisions about being in "real time" or "blog time". My sentiments are precisely the same as yours. And for that very reason I am thrilled when anyone manages to blog, anytime.

So YES, I was thrilled to see you had taken time from your comfy sleep time to write AND post wonderful photos! (It DOES take FOREVER to download!)
Congrats to your dad on his 60th! He looks great! Hope he goes for another 50 or 60 :0)

You lil doll baby IS the cutest scarecrow ever! She had such a cute blend of you and Dave's features. ADORABLE.

Your new home looks amazing! Where is it located? Somewhere "hillish".
Glad things are going so well and that you survived - post baby- another half marathon.

You ROCK!
